Helen West is the Director and co-founder of WDC Creative, an independent creative consultancy based in Manchester. The company celebrates its 23^rd birthday this summer and has grown from a micro enterprise with a single client, to a design agency supporting a wide range of brands, global and local, and employing 15 people.  Helen held a number of strategic marketing roles before taking the plunge and leading an SME. The past decade has provided Helen with plenty of opportunity to grow as a leader, and her biggest learning point came when the business’s largest client at the time moved elsewhere. Like many companies, her biggest challenge was coping with the pandemic, but after using the opportunity to reflect and rebuild, WDC has grown steadily from that point.
