Tsunami: A Story of Survival – Overcoming adversity, building resilience and finding your purpose as an entrepreneur
It was Christmas 2004 and Ani Naqvi, a former BBC journalist from London, was holidaying at her best friend’s hotel in Sri Lanka. It was a party to remember. She woke on 26th December to find a ton of water crashing into her room. It was the start of a harrowing fight for her life against the biggest tsunami in living history.
Having survived the tsunami she told Oprah in an interview that she knew she must have been saved for a purpose and that she would find out what that was.
Like so many other survivors Ani found herself in the throes of post-traumatic stress disorder. For years she struggled to sleep, suffered crippling survivor guilt which led her into further dangerous situations, such as the war in Iraq.
What followed was a deep exploration of self and with the help of yoga, meditation, Ayurveda and other holistic modalities she was able to reconnect to her purpose and her mission to empower, motivate and inspire, a quarter of a million people to stop EXISTING and start TRULY LIVING, with passion, purpose, and freedom
18 years on and she’s impacted the lives of many experts, entrepreneurs, business owners and C suite execs to unlock their true potential and continues to honour her original mission.
